Leadership transition at New Covenant
On Sunday May 4, 2008 lead Pastor Dale Woods announced he will be leading a new ministry to local Free Methodist Churches throughout the United States, connecting them to mission points around the world. Pastor Dale and his family will still be part of the New Covenant fellowship. Pastor Dale will make Clio his home base for the new ministry.
New Covenant is looking toward our future!
Also announced on Sunday, May 4, 2008 was the new leadership team for New Covenant. Our overseer, Superintendent Dan Shinabarger announced the transition plan. This plan had unanimous approval by the ministry leadership team at New Covenant. After the announcement in each service, the congregation has responded very positvely.
Pastor Dale will continue on as Lead Pastor at New Covenant until July 24th. The new Lead Pastor as of July 24th will be current Associate Pastor Roger Allen. Phil Owen, former NC Youth Pastor who has spent the past year at Willow Creek Church in Chicago, will be returning this summer to the position of Pastor in Training looking toward a major leadership role at New Covenant in the future. The remaining members of the NC Ministry Team - Linda Waldo, Bruce Lawton, Pat Moss, Dawn Lemon, Dana Meganck, Joy Burger, and Sally Gumulinski will remain at New Covenant.
